SYNC CON is FIRST OF IT’s KIND! Dedicated to training music producers, songwriters, music creators, and aspiring music supervisors on Music Licensing and how to build a successful career in this space. Attendees are in a relaxed, non – judgmental environment, where they are free to learn and ask questions, while trained by Music Supervisors, Music Licensing Veterans, TV Composers, and more. Attendees have the opportunity to be trained properly, heard, ask questions, get detailed answers, and gain thorough knowledge.
SPEAKERS & TRAINERS
Janet Wade has been a professional in the Music and Entertainment Industry for over 30 years, with expertise in the specialty area of Music Clearance and Synchronization Licensing rights for television and media production since 1990.
Janet currently works for Turner in Atlanta, Georgia, where she negotiates licensed music deals for the promotions and marketing campaigns for Turner’s entertainment networks including TNT, TBS, TCM, TruTV, Cartoon Network, Turner Sports and Bleacher Report, as well as oversees the clearance of rights and licensing of music for some of the series on the TBS and TruTV networks, Internet programs on Bleacher Report and sports broadcasts under Turner Sports, including NBA Playoffs, NBA All Star, NCAA March Madness, Major League Baseball Postseason and E-Sports. The music rights she negotiates are for television, theatrical trailers, radio, Internet, and social networking sites, special live marketing promotions, press kits and in-store promotions, plus special live events.
Prior to working in television, Janet started her music career working at the Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood in the Special Markets Division.
ADE ARIYO; Music Supervisor, Music Licensing Trainer, with works in shows such as Empire, Power, Better Call Saul, Being Mary Jane, Baller, Catfish: Owner and CEO of giant music licensing company, Music Blvd Group based in Los Angeles, CA, successfully licensed over 100,000 music tracks in over 53 countries, and counting to thousands on visual media projects, including box office movies, commercials, video games, tv shows and more. Highly sought after keynote speaker worldwide and member of the Television Academy. Ade, has trained over 1000 music creators collectively, who have successfully jumpstarted their career creating music FULL TIME for major tv shows and films. Her recent music supervision project includes a docu-film "Ubuntu, Hoops Africa" airing on NBA TV.
Music Supervisor Grammy Nominated Engineer Ramar's Music Supervisor works include Power, Madea's Family Funeral and more. As CEO of Cool House, Ramar is known as an influential voice in the music industry, shaping musicians careers. This led to him becoming a Grammy Nominated Engineer for his work on Kanye West's "Cruel Summer" album.
Casting Producer/Consultant (Love and Hip Hop Series, The Four on Fox, BET TV) Raze’s current TV projects are casting for Love and Hip Hop Atlanta (VH1), casting consultant for The Four (Fox) and talent booker for The Shade Room’s new web series The Interrogation Room. Tantrum Consulting Led by CEO, Steve Raze, an industry veteran that is a voting member of The Recording Academy (The Grammys), The BET Awards, The BET Hip-Hop Awards, The Soul Train Awards as well as the recipient of the Urban Architects Under 40 Award. Tantrum’s client list includes Love and Hip Hop TV Series (VH1), The Four (FOX), Percy Miller aka Master P, Viceland TV, Revolt TV, BET Jams, Fuse TV, Def Jam Records, Universal Records, Interscope Records and many others.
